Favorite Friend

This Morning I asked Munchkin who her favorite friend was. She looked a bit thoughtful and so I asked if Monkey-Monk was her favorite friend?

"No" she said. 

 "Oh is Adah your favorite friend?" 

 "No" 

So I asked "so who is you favorite friend?" 

 She sat thoughtfully for a few minutes then got really excited and pointed at me! 

"I'm your favorite friend?!" I asked

 "Yeah!" she yelled

and I teared up a little bit.

Daniel Cake

This year for Melissa's Birthday I had a hard time coming up with a way to decorate a Cheese Cake (she is not a fan of cake ) in a fun way with something she loves.  So I kept thinking what does Melissa Love? What does Melissa Love?  The answer....

It took some effort to make, I started with a photo of Daniel from their wedding, cropped it, changed it to black and white, upped the contrast, and still wasn't feeling like it was just what I wanted so my fabulously talented brother James did his magic and got it perfect.   Then my also very talented hubby cut it out for me with an Exacto knife, I baked the cheesecake, frosted it, and sifted cocoa powder on top through the stencil. It took some effort but I think it was worth it!  :)

Hungry Catipillar Cake

This year for Bethany's Birthday I made a Hungry Caterpillar Cake.  I made all the fondant décor myself :)  I was so excited with the way it turned out.

Money Oragami

Mommy asked me to help come up with ways to give money that were cute and creative.  after a lot of pausing rewinding and replaying on YouTube here is what we accomplished.

 

Folk Fest Picnic 2013

We were asked again this year to cater the Springville World FolkFest Picnic.  This year we decided to do a Burlap and Lace theme and Cornbread Waffles with Chili, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Cheese, and Sour Cream toppings with Watermelon and Ice-cream Cones.
