Nursing Monkey Monk

       While LadyBug and I have been figuring out this nursing thing, (we are both first timers since Munchkin refused and I had to pump and bottle feed)  Munchkin has been very interested in the process.  Ironically, since she would have nothing to do with it as an infant, Munchkin decided that she ought to get to nurse as well after seeing Ladybug eating.  She even made a go for it as I pulled LadyBug off to burp.  Seeing her come at me teeth bared gave me a glimpse into what it must feel like to find yourself in a pool with a piranha. :) 
      After I saved myself and got LadyBug settled in again I decided we needed to have a talk and explain some things.  I explained that the baby was too little for food like we eat and so I made food for her and this is how she ate.  I explained that it was milk like her baby cousins had in the bottles she had helped to feed them.  She looked at my chest and said baby and signed food.  "Yes" I said "your food is in the kitchen".  She nodded and went to play.  A few days later I laughed so hard as she saw me feeding the baby again grabbed Monkey Monk lifted her shirt and sat down to feed him as well:) She was so cute and so proud of herself!

LadyBug First Photo Shoot

Utah Valley Regional Hospital has a locked down L&D and Postpartum ward.  Which means only friends and family with prior permission and a special code can gain entrance.  So no roaming baby photographer like at the U.  I was sad thinking this meant LadyBug would not get any decent first photos taken.  I am not a photographer, but I thought well maybe if I look at Munchkin's really closely I can copy them.... I mentioned this fear to my friend Brandy Dial of DollFace Photo when she came to visit after we got home.   She is so nice she offered to do a photo shoot for us.   Aren't they adorable?!
