Christmas for the Kitties

We spent Christmas with our families but before we left we had a little Christmas for our kitties at home. 

 

 

 

 

 Tinta (all black) is the kitten Aaron proposed with.  With both of us working long hours she was starting to go well, a little neurotic so we fostered kitties from a rescue group until she picked her little sister Aissa. They are best friends.

We found out we were pregnant in September.  Quite the little surprise, it had never even crossed my mind that I could be pregnant.

While driving down to Cedar City for the Shakespeare Festival we had to stop the car multiple times for me to well....lets just say my stomach was displeased with me.  My friend asked what was wrong and I responded that I had been sick for a few weeks but it came and went and I was sure I would be fine. She exclaimed "Are you pregnant?"  I replied "NO WAY"  after sitting for a half hour my started to wonder.  So I leaned over to Aaron and asked "it's not possible, is it?" (Confession- Aaron keeps a calendar I think for his own safety :) it's good to know when to keep you head down :) ) Aaron being Aaron replied "Well you are past the median and the mode but you have another week before you are past the third standard deviation." So we determined to wait a week before we thought any more about it.

5 days later I couldn't stand it. Working late one night I just couldn't wait any longer to I "stole" a pregnancy test from one of our training kits at work. (We'll discuss work later so it makes sense :) ) I have read the instructions to participants so many times that despite never using one I figured I had it covered.  To my dismay despite the 1 line No 2 lines Yes seems easy right, the second line I thought I saw was so faint I had no idea if it was really there or what it meant.  So, sheepishly I went to a coworker/friend's office (luckily she was working late as well)  after explaining the situation I was forced to ask in utter confusion "What does this mean?"  The grin on her face said it all.

I was pregnant!

 

Dragon Fly Cake

For Verity's First B-day I made a Dragonfly cake.  She was a little hesitant at first but loved it by the end :)
